Skyriders Cape, officially known as Rope Access Painters CC, was established in 1997 by David Evans following his relocation from Johannesburg, where he co-founded South Africa’s first rope access company in 1985. Initially a solo endeavor, the Cape Town branch has expanded significantly due to a commitment to quality service, safety, and client referrals.​

Today, under the Ultra Pro Group, Skyriders Cape employs 80 full-time staff and maintains a team of 60 part-time specialists for large-scale projects. The company specializes in the maintenance and redecoration of high-rise buildings, including steel corrosion prevention coatings. The team comprises four contracts managers, two office administrators, 12 experienced site foremen, and four Level 3 Rope Access Technicians who ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards.

Ultra Pro Group, a leading Waterproofing, Painting, and Roofing Contractor based in Cape Town and Gqeberha, has recently expanded its portfolio by integrating Skyriders Cape, a renowned rope access company specializing in high-rise maintenance and redecoration. This strategic move allows Ultra Pro Group to enhance its service offerings, combining its expertise in waterproofing and roofing with Skyriders Cape’s proficiency in rope access solutions.​
